If you are going to Mexico for a vacation, here are some of the practical tips that you may want to remember:
Some cabs in Mexico have a small TV in their dashboard. If you see this and you sense that he is watching, I suggest not getting into that cab. It is an accident waiting to happen. It is always safe to take the hotel mini bus.
If you have plans of using a public toilet when you tour around the city, try to keep a few toilet seat covers and fold them in a Ziploc bag. In some public restrooms, flushing discouraged and toilet sits may be dirty, it is always safe to be ready.
You can bring thermal mugs with lids to keep your coffee hot in the morning and keep drink cold when you sand out on the beach.
Always bring $2 bill USD. Tipping the locals makes them happy. You can get more mils for your buck when renting small taxi. I suggest that you order from your bank $2 at least 2 weeks before leaving.
I suggest you just withdraw money from a local ATM because it will give you the exact current exchange rate. Most stores in Mexico will give you unfavorable conversion rate.
These are just some of the tips that you can use when you travel to Mexico. I will post more in the coming days.
