When you bring the entire family to a vacation, it is certain that the kids will want to go to some place where they will also have fun and get to enjoy their time away from home. A sure fire way to let the kids have fun is to bring them to an amusement park! Reino Aventura or Adventure Kingdom in English, has been operational since 1982 and is still the largest amusement park in Latin America.
Back in 1992, the park re-opened after it closed for some time for some major renovations. When it was re-opened to the public, it took on a new name – El Nuevo Reino Aventura, which means “The New Adventure Kingdom”, to signify the face lifts it had to go through. The park then took Free Willy’s starring whale – Keiko, who was partly responsible for the increase in visitors at that time. Three years upon its renovation, the park transitioned to a new management, who then decided to revert back to the old name of the park.
In 1996, when Keiko was transported to USA for rehabilitation and to be later on released into the wild, a huge crowd bid the whale good bye as it was being airlifted by UPS to Oregon.

Finally, in 1999 the park was bought and was renamed to what is now known as Six Flags of mexico.
When you decide to bring your kids to Mexico, don’t forget to drop by Reino Aventura, no referred to as Six Flags of Mexico.
