If you will go to the bus station, you need to carry your own bags to the official taxi booth at the bus station. You may find people who may want to assist you nearby. You do not have to allow this person to help you carry your bag. If you want to accept the assistance, you can tip the person $1.

If you take a cab from the street, public taxi are metered. However, if you will hire a taxi in the airport or hotel, these are rated depending on the price you agreed. They do not use a metering device.

If you are going to Mexico in your next travel or vacation, here are some tips on how to get around the City:

Mexico offers residents, vacationers and visitors an extensive network of transportation system. You can use public or private vehicles to get around Mexico. Transportation comes in very affordable prices with efficiency.

If you are on a very tight budget, you have the option to ride a public transportation in Mexico once you arrive in the airport going to your hotel. This is the cheapest mode of transportation. Disadvantage of this is that it is a little bit daunting if you do not speak Spanish and if you are not accustomed to traveling on metro systems and buses.

Buses travel is also an excellent way to get around the city of Mexico. You can have a complete guide to the city with professionally run bus services. You can also take a taxi and other private hire cars or van. They are also affordable as compared to car rental in the USA.
