Huatulco Beach

I consider Huatulco Beach as one of the best beaches I have visited around the globe. I’ve been to different beaches from different countries and Huatulco Beach is far one of the most beautiful beaches I have ever seen.

The weather in Huatulco Mexico is very sunny! You will definitely love this place if you are from a cold country. However, I need to warn you that you need to bring your own deodorant because your sweat glands will be working hard in here if you are from a cold climate.  Coming here with a good deodorant will make you feel and smell fresh all day even if you will sweat vigorously. lol
I still remember the first time I came in Mexico, I did not expect that my sweat glands would be working extra, hence, when I reach Huatulco beach, I was very conscious with my shirt because it is wet from my sweat, from my smell, and how I look. It was a good thing, the hotel that where we were booked have a 24 hour convenience store where I bought a deodorant. lols

Now back to Huatulco Beach, the water is clear and it turns to crystal blue during afternoon. It is definitely a perfect place to have summer vacation!

Discovering Dos Ojos Cenote

Dos Ojos means the one of the biggest underwater caves to be found in the world. It is a very lengthy cave system which measures about 57 km. In Spanish, the term Dos Ojos means two eyes. This is referred to one of the leading entrances that connect the two big caverns.

The water source in the cave is from rain filtered with the help of the limestones, responsible for the very clear water it renders to scuba divers or those who just intend to snorkel. The water temperature measures normally to 77 degrees all throughout the entire year.

There is also a bat cave within the connecting caverns which can be accessed through diving or snorkeling alone. With the help of some diving light, you would be able to see some bats sleeping on the roofs of the cavern.

The usual dives which take place in Dos Ojos are just a bit less than 30 feet to give way for longer time underwater. It is recommended that you do the dive with a trainer for cave diving can be really dangerous to anyone who will do it for the first time. Try one of these best cave dives you can only experience in Mexico.

Mexico Diving: Cozumel

Cozumel, Mexico’s largest inhabited island is located just south of Cancun. Though many resorts have opened in the island, majority of Cozumel is still sparsely populated.

Cozumel has a slow-paced atmosphere, a relaxed destination whether day or night. In the island, you can try out snorkeling and diving, most especially so on the Palancar reef. The Palancar reef is a mountainous underwater formation that is about six miles long and 300 feet high. It is considered to be one of the best diving spots.

In Cozumel, you can also try out deep-sea fishing, which is a very popular event there particularly in sailfish catching. To the Mayans, Cozumel was a sacred area since there are three Mayan ruins in the island including El Cedral. One of its most notable claim to fame is that Cozumel was once a base for 17th century pirate Captain Henry Morgan.

You can take the short boat ride to Palancar Reef for a dive, or see the reef via a glass-bottom boat.
