Ek Balam (Dark Jaguar) is one of the oldest Mayan sites in mexico, and it was a major center of power until it was eclipsed in around 1200 AD, for unknown reasons. This beautiful city is now but a ruin, among its faded beauty is enough to brun the heart of the many tourists who have been visiting the location since 1997.
