Your statement: “The Hacienda Chichen Resort and Mayan Spa is one of the best hotels in Mexico’s Yucatan,” is close to our experience; we stay at this lovely hotel in July 2008 and plan to return in Feb. 2009 for another four day stay. We find your article very lovely; but did you know that this hotel is committed to Green management policies? we, like most travelers from California, are very impress with hotels that have eco-friendly facilities and devote a percentage of their profits to carefully dispose of their waste. Hacienda Chichen is one of those rare hotels that truly does work responsible to preserve the environment and Mayan culture in Yucatan.
