Punta Allen in the Mayan Riviera is another quiet and relaxing little fishing village. It is located in the Sian Kaan Biosphere Reserve about 2 1/2 hour drive from Tulum. To make this trip, you will need to have durable transportation such as a jeep, this is because the road to Punta Allen is very rutted. Driving through this road might sound tiring and boring but I guarantee that driving through the Sian Kaan Biosphere reserve is a really nice experience. On the way, you will be able to see incredible beaches, pristine mangrove estuaries, and amazing wildlife. To make this trip, I strongly recommend that you take plenty of drinking water and snacks, a camera, binoculars, and beach clothes.
There are different things you can do in this little fishing village. there are different services and tours offered. Among them are: fly fishing trips, snorkeling, and eco-tours. You can also spend a relaxing day at the beach or swim in crystal clear waters. When it comes to eating, you don’t have to worry about it because there are several restaurants that offer anything from a good breakfast to a tasty dinner. What about spending a night or two in this village? sure you can do that. there are also a few places where you can stay, so if you are thinking of doing that, I will recommend that you spend some time looking at the different options there are.
