Located in the southern part of Mexico, Tapachula is a city rich in culture. With people from many different countries settling here throughout the years, including people from China, Japan, Germany, Span and France, it is truly one of the most unique towns in Mexico. The many different cultures in the city are evident in the Tapachula’s architecture, restaurants and festivals.

Tapachula is also one of the richest cities in Mexico on a per capita basis. The population, which is around 200,000, is largely educated.

The city is located right on the passageway into Central America, so if you want to visit Central America, it is easy to do from Tapachula.
