If you are planning to go to mexico and you are planning to bring your pet with you, here are some items you need to know:
Airlines have their own rules about taking pets with you travel, regardless of your destination. You need to follow these universal guidelines when you travel with your pet. Before booking your flight, you need to check their website or call their customer service to check their regulations on bringing your pet aboard.
Airlines will require you to use a purpose built crate for cats and kennel for dogs if you want them to be transported on the airline. Make shift containers like plastic boxes or cardboard will not be accepted.
You need to bring a health certificate from your veterinary surgeon. The same documents will be required at the port of entry in Mexico.
These are some of the things that you need to know. I will be posting more about bringing your pet to Mexico in my next post.

It is very easy to get the health certificate from a veterinarian. Usually you need to make an appointment and be sure your pet is current on all shots. The vet will do an evaluation and then provide you with the certificate for travel. Don’t leave your loved one at home for the holidays when it’s simple to take them with!
