Loading ...With over 150 years of history, Ciudad del Carmen is a city in Mexico that is rich in tradition. Approximately 200,000 residents live in Ciudad del Carmen, which is located right on the Gulf of Mexico.
A couple decades ago, Ciudad del Carmen was a fishing town. However, oil was found near the city and now Ciudad del Carmen is an oil town that has a lot of workers from the United States. Due to the influx of United States residents, this city is a very Americanized part of Mexico.
If you want to take a relatively inexpensive vacation to Mexico, consider Ciudad del Carmen. The local hotels are nice and are priced cheaply. You can find a hotel to fit any type of budget.
At Holiday Inn Ciudad Del Carmen is a good option if you want a family friendly hotel that is located in a very good part of town. From this hotel, you can easily get to the shopping areas in the town. You can also easily reach the water.
Hacienda Real Hotel is a recently built hotel that is already drawing rave reviews. This hotel is perfect for a romantic weekend. The rooms are decorated with class and there are a number of restaurants in short walking distance.

Ciudad del Carmen was a great place to be early 2000.I worked there for 2 years. (Wish I was there now)
The Holiday Inn was one hotel the company used. But I prefered the “Hacienda Real” which was near completion in 2000. The people in Ciudad del Carmen are very warm & friendly. Especially if your not a “Gringo”<— from the US.
But then most countries feel the same !
I still have many friends in C-D-C. I’ll get back there somehow.
