Veracruz is a major port city and municipality on the Gulf of Mexico in the Mexican state of Veracruz. The city is located in the central part of the state. Veracruz is Mexico’s oldest and largest port and the port most connected with its history. Though the city is not as famous for resorts as the other Mexican cities, there are other interesting attractions you can find. The town has a bounty of hotels and shopping malls wherein you can experience modern technology. The city is best for its archeological treasures. There are some nice beaches also wherein you can enjoy fishing, swimming and other waters sports. For entertainment, do not miss to catch the traditional and ritualistic dance in the area. You have to bring a camera with you also when you go to the town’s special island wherein the light house can be seen. And the most visited area is the aquarium that houses different species.
