Sinaloa is a stayte in western mexico that is relatively less-developed than those in other regions of the country. The main activities in the state are agriculture, livestock breeding, fishing, and commerce. the state also benefits from the presence of Maya ruins of Mazatlan inside its borders.

Sinaloa is remarkable for being the only place in Latin America where the ancient ball game is still played. Called ullama, this game has a histroy of at least 3500 years and is still played in some isolatred rural communities in Mexico. Imagine the Eleusinian Mysteries surviving to this day, and the significance of this ancient practice is understood better.

Apart from cheese, meat, sausages and milk, along with other kinds products, Sinaloa is also home to the cultivation of large quantities of opium and cannabis.
