Located in the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun is a part of Mexico’s easternmost state, Quintana Roo. Most of the 570000 residents of Cancun are from the surrounding areas of Yucatan, and other Mexican states, but in recent years retirees and affluent citizens from the rest of Americas and Europe have been forming an increasing part of the population.

Cancun is a beautiful city, and a natural attraction for tourists from Mexico and abroad. There are about 150 hotels, with 4 million visitors arriving each year through a daily average of 190 flights.

Temperature is warm and tropical, but it’s moderated by the marine breezes which circulate through the city’s avenues. Through the course of a single day the weather can turn from sunny to dark and rainy to sunny again. Cancun is a city full of surprises, and the weather seems to reflect that as well.
