Chimchanga the Delicious

Chimchanga is a popular dish in some southwestern states, and the Mexican states of Sinaloa and Sonora. It is prepared by filling a tortillla with beans, rice, cheese, ground beef, shredded chicken, and other ingredients, and then folding the tortilla into a rectangular form. The tortilla is then deep fried and enriched with salsa, guamacole, sour cream or cheese.

The creators of the original Chimchanga are unclear. Some credit restaurants in Arizona, but Mexicans contest this strongly. Still, the dish is popular in both the US and Mexico, as seen by the numerous versions of it available in both countries.
