Considered as Michoacan’s best-kept secret, Lago (lake) Zirahuen is located in the town of Patzcuaro. With a population of about 2,500 local people, the village is another picturesque yet hidden gem of Mexico. The discovery of this magnificent lake vista has seen many expats re-locating to the village, preferably building a house with the view of the lake. There are also accomodations available around the town and an exquisite hotel called Zirahuen Forest resort which is perched atop a hill  overlooking the lake. Can you imagine the view?
