Visitors are attracted to Matamoros for many reasons including good weather, inexpensive shopping and an abundance of budget lodging options. If you want to stay in Matamoros but you don’t want to spend a lot of money, you are in luck. While the lavishness isn’t especially impressive, the prices are some of the lowest in all of Mexico.

Another option is Best Western Hotel Plaza Matamoros. This hotel is safe, clean and has a very helpful and friendly staff. As far as price is concerned, it’s even a bit cheaper than Margarita del Sol Costa Maya Resort Hotel.
Additional hotels to consider include Holiday Inn Matamoros, Best Western Gran Hotel Residencial and Hotel Colonial. If your budget is extremely tight, move Hotel Colonial to the top of your list, as that is the cheapest of all the listed hotels.
