The Mayan Riviera in the state of Quintana Roo is the most popular resort area in Mexico. This area covers 3 famous resort towns: Cancun, Playa del Carmen, and Tulum. even though Cancun is famous worldwide, Playa del Carmen has become even more popular lately. This city is one of the fastest growing city in the world. If you get the chance to visit this city, you won’t believe that 12 years ago it was only a small fishing village. My wife and I spent a year living in this city and I must say that it was a wonderful experience, except for the two hurricanes (Emily, and Wilma) that hit the city as well as the city of Cancun.

Besides the beautiful beaches that the town has to offer, you also find the famous fifth avenue where you can find different stores as well as international food restaurants. If you like to eat well, have a good drink, and spend some bucks shopping, then you will find that fifth avenue is the place that has it all.
