IMF, Mexico, and Swine Flu: The Phoenix will rise again

The global economic turmoil was already threatening to hit mexico hard when the swine flu scare doubled the troubles faced by the nation. There is even talk of banning all flights between Europe and Mexico, yet none of those nonsensical ideas is going to ensure a healthy existence to the the highly mobile citizens of Europe or the US.

Mexico has only recently sought help from the IMF in order to prop up its fundamentally robust economy. Will the swine flu deepen the crisis, and force the mexican government to take even more drastic action to cushion the economy from the dangerous effects of the crisis? We suspect that it won’t, but nothing seems to be able to stop the turning of the rumor mill.

The whole world should now that this nation will not give up the gains of the last 6-7 years. The Mexico of today is not the ailing, weak, unstable nation of the past. Mexico has benefited from theglobal boom under the prudent leadership of the last decade, and a new culture, a new lifestyle, a new sense of national confidence all ensure that those who bet against Mexico will be crushed when the clouds that darken the future recede.

New Pyramids are unearthed in Mexico City

New Aztec structures keep being unearthed in mexico City these days, and the unearthing of razed by Cortes and his fellow conquistadores is the latest one. In March 2007,  as construction workers were busy working in the Iztapalapa district of Mexico City, they uncovered what is now believed to be the lost remains of the main Aztec pyramid, destroyed in the 1500s by Hernan Cortes.

Until now, it was impossible to explore and dit this area because of the urban settlement on top of it. Five hundred years after Cuitlahuac, the chief of Iztapalapa, came close to annihilating Cortes and his troops, the city’s temple is once again seeing the light of the sun.

You can go and see all these marvellous structures and historic ruins with your own eyes. On top of the pleasure of exploring Mexico City as a touristic destination, you’ll love to breathe the poetic atmosphere of history and legend.

Mexico: A new Destination for Investors

mexico-by-night

During the past six or seven years, mexico has been an exceptionally attractive destination for investors. cheap labor, a relatively advanced legal and public infrastructure, strong ties with the US, and a culture that is open and innovative, have made a Mexico a focal point for those who want to multiply their gains, and maximize their profits from invesments and business partnerships.

Last year’s ongoing economic troubles, along with the recent issues of health have made some of the weaker vacillate in their commitment to the future of Mexico. But in spite of the bad press, and the undeniable difficulties faced by the global economy, Mexico still offers an extremely high risk/reward ratio for those visionaries who are smart enough to make a positive bet on the nation’s future. This young and dynamic nation is one of the powerhouses of the next century: no crisis, no epidemic, and certainly no media mudslinging can change this fact.

Guadalupe Island is famous for its beautiful and unique scenery and some unique species, including the Guadalupe Fur Seal,  which attract tourists from many different parts of the world. Scuba diving expeditions, and cage diving tours to view the sharks in the region are also available.

Swine Flu: Truth beyond the hyperbole

tequila_whs

From what we read in the news, it would appear that the end of the world is nigh. Perhaps it is naive to expect any kind of restraint or sensibility from the news media when they are doing so much to give the whole world to doom and mayhem. But there’s no justification for the complete panic under the effect of which many are now regarding mexico as the Devil’s Homeland. Rational, sensible people know the distinction between panic and prudence.  These days, however, knowledge and hearsay are equated with each other, as fear, and not reason, is the guiding principle of public behavior.

Mexico is where it was before the outbreak of the swine flu. This ancient nation has survived countless calamities before, and it will surely emerge from the recent scare just as strong, if not stronger than before.
