Cancun is the most famous mexican beach resort in the world. People from many different countries come to Cancun each year and that’s what makes it so famous. Why do people come to Cancun? There are many reasons but I would say that the most imposrtant one is the fact that Cancun has a lot to offer. It does not only have nice white-sand beaches, and luxurious hotels but it also has international food restaurants, shopping centers, and many bars and discoteques.
If you are the kind of person that likes adventure, cancun has many tour companies that offer all kinds of adventorous activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, sky diving, jet skiing, parasailing, and much more.
I have been in Cancun several times and I have to say I have not done it all. This is because there is so much to do and so much to see not only in the hotel zone but also ouside of it. Being in Cancun is a wonderful experience that you will want to repeat. so why don’t you give it a try next time go on vacations? I can assure that you will enjoy the mexican caribbean very, very much.

The Ruins in Tulum Quintana Roo is a must see when traveling to the mayan Riviera in Mexico. Even if you are not a lover of ancient ruins you can still have so much fun. That is because these ruins are the only ones in the country where you can learn about mayan culture and also lie on the beach or swim in the crystal clear caribbean sea. If you happen to be in Cancun, you will only need to take a 2 hour drive to get there.
I have been there a few times and I have to say it is a really nice experience. We got there around 9:00 am, we toured this mayan city for about an hour and then went down to the beach. As we walked around the site, we were able to take lots of pictures of the different temples as well as some of the wildlife from the place. You can see some big iguanas and you might even be able to see some howler monkeys.
The beach in Tulum is one of the most beautiful beaches in the area so we always stay there for a while. Since there are no stores nearby we always carry some snacks and lots of water.

Akumal is another amazing place to go in the Mayan Riviera. It is located 60 miles south of Cancun. Its name means ” place of the turtles ” so you can get an idea what this place is famous for. This is still a favorite place for sea turtles to lay their eggs.
Akumal is a place where you can spend a very relaxing day or if you prefer, there are also some activities you can enjoy. It is a really good place for snorkeling, scuba diving, and fishing.
I personally love to snorkle in Akumal because the water is crystal clear and because the reef is not too far from the shore. Another reason why I love to snorkle here is because of the different kind of sea life that you can find. I have snorkled here several times and I have been able to see sting rays, different kinds of colorful fish, corals of course, and sea turtles. I specially like a kind of fish called parrot fish. This is a kind of fish that as its name says looks very much like a parrot. This is because of the colors that it has, the same color of a parrot, and also its mouth looks very much like a parrot’s beak.
Anyway, I love to snorkle in Akumal because I’m guaranteed that I will be able to see all of these different kind of fish. So if you ever come to the Mayan Riviera, try to come to Akumal where I guarantee you will have a wonderful and relaxing time.

The beach resort of Puerto Aventuras is located about 20 minutes south of Playa del Carmen. In this beautiful place, there are 3 luxurious hotels as well as many vacation rental condos. There are also some houses facing the marina.
Besides coming to the beach, many people come to see or even swim with the dolphins. This is the place where many tourist are brought from Cancun or Playa del Carmen to be able to swim with dolphins. The tour company that provides this service is called Dolphin Discovery and if you want to have this unforgettable experience, you will have to pay about $100 US.
If you get the chance to come to this place, you cannot only spend your time on the beach or swimming but you can also spend some time with your family looking and taking pictures of the dolphins as well as other marine life.
Tere are also some nice cafes, bars, and restaurants on the marina where you can have anything from beer to a margarita. You can also have a very good meal for a very rasonable price. So I would really recomend Puerto Aventuras for someone who wants to spend a good and relaxing time with family or friends.
