Valle de Bravo is a small picturesque colonial town located in the state of Mexico. It is surrounded by beautiful mountains in the middle of a big forest. As you can see, Valle de Bravo also has a beautiful lake where people like to sail and practice other water sports. This colonial town is only an hour away from the industrial city of Toluca. In order to get to Valle de Bravo if you are coming from abroad, you will need to take a plane to the city of Toluca and then catch a bus or rent a car to drive there.

There are many reasons why people like to come to Valle the Bravo on vacations. Some wealthy mexicans from Mexico city come here every weekend or on holidays to spend some relaxing time in their nice homes that they built just for that. Nature lovers come here to enjoy some of the town’s natural beauty such as the forest, the lake, the rivers, the waterfalls, and the mazing views you can have from the different mountains there are.

There are also others that come here to enjoy the food, the colonial style architecture, and the different handcrafts stores that makes this town a very peaceful and colorful place. And what can I say about extreme sports lovers? Well, there is something for them, too. As for extreme sports Valle de Bravo has become a popular spot for hangliding and paragliding, making this town a preferred destination for thrill seekers.

As far as accomodations in Valle de Bravo, I can say that there are quite a few nice and luxurious hotels. However, I strongly recommend that if you come to this place and you are going to be in the mountains, in the forest, and near a lake, you should rent one of those nice wooden “cabañas”.

Anyway, If you are thinking of spending some relaxing time toguether with your family or friends, come to Valle de Bravo. I can guarantee that you will have a very relaxing and at the same time exciting mexican vacation.

The riviera maya is also famous for the “cenotes” (natural water pools) . There are many of these pools all over the state of Quintana Roo. Some of these cenotes are near the ocean and others are more inland. You can also find cenotes inside some caves. Actually the state of Quintana Roo has the largest undergound river in the world and this is the place where some movies have been filmed.

There are some Cenotes that you can swim for free, but in most of them you have to pay, specially the best ones. If you are an adventurous person and like to scuba dive inside caves, you should try a place called hidden worlds. This place is located near the ruins of Tulum. I have been there also and it is a wonderful and at the same time scary experience, even tought I only went there to snorkle and not scuba dive. So next time you come to the Mayan Riviera, don’t forget to visit the “Cenotes”.

The mayan ruins in Palenque Chiapas are to me the most amazing ruins in Mexico. The reason why I find them so amazing is beacuse of the scenery. This ruins are located in the state of Chiapas, which is considered the greenest and most natural state of Mexico. The ruins are surrounded by jungle which makes them even more attractive for tourists. 

The easiest way to get to Palenque is by taking a plane to the city of Villa Hermosa in the state of Tabasco which borders with Chiapas. From there you can either take a bus or rent a car. Palenque is only about two and a half hours from Villa Hermosa.

Don’t worry about where to stay in Palenque because you can find many different hotels in town. There are cheap as well as expensive hotels to choose from. The ruins are very near from town so you can get there easly and quickly.

I have been there once and I have to say the place is wonderful. I also have to tell you that the place is kind of big and hot so you should wear shorts and a hat. You also need to make sure to take a camara because the scenery is really beautiful, and remember you will do a lot of exercise so don’t forget to carry lots of water with you.

These amazing waterfalls get their name “Cascadas de Agua Azul” (blue waterfalls) from the blue color of the water on a sunny day. These waterfalls can be found in the beautiful state of Chiapas. They are located about an hour drive from the ruins of Palenque so you can easily visit the ruins in the morning when it’s not too hot and then go to the waterfalls to refresh yourself.

In order to get to the waterfalls you can either pay for a tour that will include not just going to the ruins of Palenque but also going to these waterfalls as well as other smaller ones, or you can rent a car and drive there. The road to get to the falls is in very good condition but you have to drive carefully because of the many curves you will find and also because you are driving in the mountains. Of course, I guarantee amazing views as you drive to get there.

Once you get to the waterfalls, you will be able to swim in very clean and refreshing waters. Among the different things that you can do there besides swimming, are: buying handcrafts, eating, taking pictures, having a picnic, and hiking.

I have been to the waterfalls togheter with my wife and some friends and we had a wonderful time. We first went to the ruins in Palenque and spent there a couple of hours and then we drove to the falls. By the time we got there, we were so hot and swetty that we got into the water right away. We also bought some handcrafts and had lunch at a local restaurant. After lunch, we spent some time walking around the park and taking lots of pictures. The ruins of Chichen Itza are the most visited by tourist in the whole country. They are located in the state of Yucatan bordering the state of Quintana Roo. In order to get there you can take an airplane to the city of Merida which has an international airport, or if you happen to be in Cancun, you can drive or take a bus. If you decide to drive, it will only take you a few hours to get there.

These Mayan ruins are famous worldwide and are now being considered as a strong candidate to become one of the new seven wonders in the world. The reason why people come to Chichen Itza is because it is really a magical place. The time of the year when most people come here is in the spring, especially during the equinox. This is because during this time the reflection of the sun in the stairs of the Kukulcan temple creates a shadow with the form of a snake coming down the stairs. Others come in this time to meditate and absorb energy which they believe abounds during this period of time.

There are different things you can do when you visit this place. Besides walking around looking at the different pyramids and taking pictures, Chichen Itza has a few restaurants where you can try the typical mayan food. I also recommend that you visit the beautiful big “Cenote” (fresh water natural pool) that you can find near the place. Since it is always very hot in this place, you should take light clothes, such as shorts, a t-shirt, and a hat. Once you have toured the place I strongly recommend that you refresh yourself swimming at the ”Cenote”. I guarantee it will be a great experience for you.
